Jiāng Dàlái 江大来 / 江大來

BiographyJiang Dalai 江大来 / 江大來 (Chiang Ta-Lai). Also known by his sobriquet Jiapu and was a native of Suzhou. In 1804, he traveled to Japan where we befriended many Japanese artists and became an important source about Chinese Orthodox school painting in Japan. He was eventually classified as one of the "Four Great Masters from Abroad."
