ProvenanceExcavated at Troy by Margery Aborn probably in 1914;¹ Mrs. Leonie Schmidt, Redwood City, CA; by gift 1986 to Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin, OH ¹A letter from Leonie Schmidt dated 21 February 1986 states that "A classmate, Margery Aborn class of 1914, dug up this small jar on the site of ancient Troy when on an archaeological study tour led by a professor of philosophy, Oberlin, faculty of same year."
