"When itinerant monks roam the world, the sound of them beating on their alms bowls is like thunder" ( Shikai unsui takuhatsu Kaminari no gotoshi 四海雲水鉢音如雷)

Left-hand scroll:

"With their stout staffs and round hats, after a while they return to their village" (Utō ni enritsu kashite ikubaku mura ni kaeru 烏藤円笠化幾村帰 )
