On viewHasui’s image of a quiet moment on a snowy day provides another view of Ikegami Honmonji temple, also seen in the case below. In the foreground, two women with a child in a red-hooded cloak walk toward the temple’s famous steep steps. In the distance, another figure approaches—perhaps a Buddhist monk in dark robes. The adults all carry colorful umbrellas, sprinkled with snow.
