Status
Not on viewDuchamp was fascinated by the scientific principles of perspective and optics. Over a period of 20 years, he tried to generate effects of depth on a two-dimensional surface, designing a series of spirals and objects positioned on spiral patterns. These rotoreliefs- like the one shown here- were inexpensively printed and placed on a turntable to create a sensation of depth.
