Credit LineGift of Robert Lehman
Object number1943.249
Status
Not on viewMale satyrs, putti, and human figures gather around a wine vat in various stages of inebriation. The print was most likely engraved or etched based on an engraving by Mantegna, but in reverse. It is also possible--though less likely, due to the later age of the paper--that it is a counterproof of the Mantegna print.
